thanks.... i am defiantly going to put in the upgrades... i am going to make it so when you enter the house you can look in a magazine and order it and it comes by mail or something like postman.. haha
and you can also hibernate till next season or watch tv or something.. not sure
its a good start, but i agree that you should et upgrades, but not just axe upgrades... you should have stomach upgrades too... also make different types of hippies, like make them be harder to kill, make them hurt you more, etc. also... make some sort of upgrade money if you add upgrades, you will get 1 upgrade point for cutting one full grown tree or something like that... you should make strongr hippies further away from you lob cabin... but for that you will need checkpoints... what im talking about is more cabins! just place some cabins randomly across the game, away from you cabin.... far away... make it so you cant get to a new cabin unless you upgrade stomach or something, or else you wont make it far enough
yeah i was going to make it side scrolling like that and you have to make it to the next soup station.. haha
the thing is i have to edit the engine because as of now it is 3 movie clips.. on for foreground, midground and background... i will have to add a second to each then have them move sideways... that makes the gameplay change and adds a lot more effort... once people expect to be able to explore they want new levels and places to go and .. damn i have so many games started and i cannot finish one.. haha

hey thanks, i wish only i had the diligence to finish a project.. :-)
hmmmm... cant finish a game... maybe you should work on game little by little for each game, giving each just little progress each time you do something, that way you wont just start a new project once your working on one, your mind ill be occupied as long as you have different things to do, but this way you will make some progress
that is exactly what i have been doing actually. i start games and then what ever i feel like that day i put like a hour or two in and if i get bord i work on another one any then once in a while a get a crazy idea and make a game in like one night ..
but the game i make in one night just needs that little bit more the be fun and playable... the thing is i can create the engine and artwork in one day.. the hard part is all the extra stuff that makes it fun, it takes so fricken long
try not to add to many things, flash can go to a number of levels, but too much will go boom

you should most defiantly add different sized trees worth different amounts of points. And in the real lumber buisness you also have to watch out for falling trees, just an idea....
yeah and someone mentioned earlier drop trees on hippies for extra points... hmm yeah i might make some system for having to run away from the trees but i am not sure..
